Since i didnt get any response there.. .

i will try here:

Hi everyone, so yes im newbie on this forum and seems not only here;

i have this Honda, according to me was an 929 that was what i was told it was (Jesus my English is bad sorry), any way checking on a VIN decoder its not a 929 its a 900rr so firts question

1.- is it the same bike?

well after all thats ot the main problem, the thing is this bike i got with broken CDI, so i bought a new one on EBAY U.S, with this charatceristics:

" 929 CDI HONDA 929 CDI CBR 929 CDI 929 CDI HONDA 929 CDI 38770-MCJ-671 "

after asking the guy if ti would fit my bike he says Yes for sure. ok took the risk... so many days after this CDI arrives and .

doesnt fit!!

damn

what now? the cdi is very very similar but mine has just only 22 pins the other has 26 pins!...

I would attach some picture , can someone Enlight me what happened?? the seller "presumed" may be my bike is using an honda 954 CDI, but how i mean.. why??.

Did the seller just lied, he sent me a wrong one or what?

please guys as you noticed im a newbie in more than one way if you could check this pics and enlight me i will appreciate so much and see what are the next steps to do.

This is what i bought

A 2002-2003 (manufacturing date) Fireblade would have been a 954CC bike whilst a 2000-2001 (again manufacturing date) Fireblade would have been a 929CC bike. Check on your engine to see what CC the bike is...

I think you have been sold either a 954 ECM instead of a 929 ECM (could be the opposite way around) as I know for sure the pins are different.

If you want to upload a picture, the correct way is to use the Fireblade's Picture Uploader...

All you have to do is click on Go Advanced (when typing a post), then Manage Attachments and through there you can upload your pictures...
