Re: Indicator problems

What bike have you got?

Have you checked to see if the bulbs are working? There maybe a problem with your switch, wiring or most probably your flasher unit.

First I think you need to invest in a multimeter and a haynes manual.

Btw, welcome

Right, pull the bulb out of the bulb holder (use a phillips screw driver to remove the screw (it maybe a little stubborn so make sure you use the right screw driver (fits perfectly) and use WD40/similar if needed before hand), pull the indicator lens off and gentle push in and turn the bulb to remove it). Reverse the steps to replace.

Next, get two pieces of wire (easy way to do it), connect the outer body of the bulb to the negative wire (wire connected to the negative part of the battery), and the little "dot/blob" at the bottom to the positive part (BEWARE that the wires do not touch or you may short circuit the battery)

Does anything happen when you flick the switch?

Not sure if Loopy would be able to help (she too has a CBR400 - maybe a common problem )

Also, have a search on eBay for a Haynes Manual for your bike (might be able to pick up one new but it'll probably be cheaper on eBay)
