This just suddenly started happening for no reason?

Re: indicators flashing wrong

yes it started while in winter storage. the wiring would not count as there is a live and an earth and a bulb could have the live running to either side so even if the indicator wires were not connect to the correct wire out of the two they would still work correctly but yes they are correctly wired.

Re: indicators flashing wrong

Remove the bulbs on that side and check them, its possible one filament in a bulb has broken and then reconnected itself closer to the opposite pigtail inside the filament.
Its the wattage of the bulbs that load the circuit per side and create the flashing speed.

Re: indicators flashing wrong

just as an update i took the front indicator bulbs out and swapped then the prob was on the other saide happy days. so at close inspection one bulb was a 10w flashing to quick then the other was 23w flashing correct. haynes say it should be 21w bulb so conclusion smaller bulb cand take current so flashes quicker bigger bulb flashes slower. cool all sorted now and getting ready for the isle of man tt races in a few weeks

Re: indicators flashing wrong

I'm a bit puzzled, as you said it only started after winter storage, yet you now found a 10W bulb in there on one side.
Naturally as I said its a different wattage situation causing it, whether it be a physical bulb wattage difference or a jumped filament situation, so how was it working ok before if its the bulb you now found Huh??
You've got a case of bulb swapping elves in your storage shed,

yes i changed the back indicators for new ones so didnt take that in to concideration but the front bulbs and back bulbs all had diffrent watt bulbs in but the left hand side and right hand side both added to the same wattage. then i changed the back indicators on both sides and they had the same bulb which ment the front were un balanced. very strange but true. lol anyway jobs a good one.
