Importing to the UK

And could import any bike from the USA/Canada for free (free importing, but obviously pay for the bike), which one would you import, which make/model/year/color and why?

Re: Importing to the UK

Depends on your purpose, profit, fun or a combination. Look into tax regulations for what you'd have to pay on import (duty, VAT). It varies depending on whether it's new or used. I think the definition of used is 6 months' old, but I'm unsure. That may be how long you've had to have it registered in a foreign country in your name before avoiding taxes. Google should provide you with the UK regs.

Generally US/Canadian prices are low relatively to UK, but much of that is tax, see above. For profit, you might consider a model that is rare in the UK and sells for a premium (US cruisers?).
