| Shipping charges from the UK to the USA I'm trying to get a pair of Frank Thomas Strike Aqua trousers from J&S Accessories. They have a great price at 59 British Pounds....But the extorsionists want 48 BP to ship! That's about $220.00 for purchase and shipping. Does that sound right? and is there an alternative (in regards to the shipping)? Thanks.

| Re: Shipping charges from the UK to the USA Have a look at www.royalmail.com for pricing and shipping options. Any idea of the weight? I punched 3kg into their price finder, and cheapest airmail service came out at £41.75 If the weight was down to 2kg it comes in at £33 or so. Find some similar trousers, guestimate total packing weight and I'll get you a price for shipping. If it makes it worthwhile, buy the goods, get them shipped to me and I'll send them on over at the best price I can get. Any good? |

| Re: Shipping charges from the UK to the USA The trousers are probably in the 3kg range. They have armour and an extra lining. I guess the shipping price quoted wasn't all that bad considering. I appreciate the offer, but for only a few dollars, it seems a bit penny pinching to bother anyone over it. The price for the trousers are very reasonable. Getting them here is the hard part. Serves me right, since I choose not to get them last year when I bought the jacket.
