go to user cp (control panel) on the left near the top, click on edit profile picture in the settings and options box on the left.. then upload photo..

Hi LoopyLee, I don't have anywhere in my edit profile section where it says about settings/options or uploading photos...can you help?

if you're asking about having an avatar you have to be a supporter.. $.. by the way loopy.. i see your status has changed... congrats..
