  | Speed Cameras in Swindon - NO MORE My mates were telling me last night that now the Local councils throughout Swindon are now in full control of all Speed Cameras. They therefore have to pay for the up-keep of said cameras also. They have decided to remove ALL Speed Cameras as they're up-keep is too costly. How much truth there is in this I do not know. But if it is and you're in and around Swindon area, at least you wont have to worry bout the odd 10mph on an open road where they've sneaked a camera in the bushes!!! Happy days if its true and Ride Safe !  | |

It's one of those subjects......yes in areas I do think they work...schools, hospital areas, shopping areas etc, places where you expext to find loads of people. But the ones as we all know that just gather revenue are ridiculous! The one guy had a point tho....just a sign with a picture of a camera with THINK underneath it....a lot cheaper to run than a camera.  |
