Just 4 bolts to take the frame on/off. They're nice for commuting and touring. The bag just lifts off if you want to take with you at stops. Fellow rides who razz me about it often want me to carry stuff. They don't seem to be a problem at speed either.

On the 929 they don't require any modifications (no cutting or drilling). There is a bracket that mounts inside the trunk area that extends just below the tail section plastic. That gives the rear mounting holes for the rack. I've had one on my bike for 50k miles with zero problems. I use the sport pack all the time and the larger rack and packs for trips.
Some pics of the bracket.

| Re: For Sale: Ventura Bike Pack System: 929 Don't forget you can buy the correct frame (L-brackets) for your bike and use the rack and bags. Even with the price of new l-brackets (~$100) you've still got a great deal!
L-brackets for the XX are $115 for example.
I'd buy it all but both of the 929s in my garage already have this setup. |

| Re: For Sale: Ventura Bike Pack System: 929 I'd be all over it, but I don't think I'd use it much and the ass end is cleaned up enough that I think it'd stand out bad... Too bad. Is a good price and could make for some fun trips! |
