FS: 929 parts:Penske,Braking,PCIII,wheels,etc.

My trusty 929 is up for sale but I removed most of the aftermarket stuff to sell separately. PM me if you are seriously interested and I can email pictures. I can't check email or PM's during work so please be patient; I'll get back to you ASAP. All prices include shipping to the U.S. lower 48. All parts except the wheels are from a 2001 929RR.

SOLD Penske triple adjustable shock: Very good condition. Shows the normal signs of use.Could probably use a rebuild ($90 job at the Penske shop) but still works great. The spring has "800-803" engraved in the bottom.Penske can tell you what that means. $500
SOLD set of '05 1000RR wheels: Excellent condition, almost perfect. Rear comes with the brake rotor and cush drive (no sprocket).Front has no rotors. I confirmed that these will both fit the 929 (should also fit 954).All you have to do is use the 929 spacers. $525
'05 1000RR OE sprockets and chain: Excellent condition. Only 1500 miles of use. $100
SOLD PCIII: Good condition.Works flawlessly but shows normal signs of 4 years of use.Comes with original instructions and software CD.Also includes a 9 volt adapter so the PCIII can be taken off the bike and to a computer but still be powered up for map changes. $175
SOLD Scott's damper mount: Very good condition. Nothing wrong or broken. I'm keeping the damper but don't need the mount. $50
Factory Pro billet stator cover (case cover): Structurally solid but has some scratches from the bike falling over.Includes the plastic slider which I've cut at an angle to match the ground surface. Also includes the stainless mounting bolts and stator bolts. $150
SOLD Braking wave front rotors: Good condition. 25k miles of use but these things would last forever. They are 1mm thicker than OE rotors. The wear surfaces are smooth, no grooves or warping. $200
ECM: Very good condition.I bought this while troubleshooting electrical problems.Different part was the problem.I confirmed that this one worked OK after fixing my bike's problem. $80
Bank angle sensor: Actually came off a 1000XX but it is the same part # as the 929. Same situation as the ECM. I confirmed it works. $40
OE front brake rotors: Approx. 20k miles of use.1 is slightly bent or warped.I think I did it while changing tires. They can still be used if you're desperate or not picky.I rode them like this for a couple thousand miles before replacing. $50
Cam chain tensioner: New condition. Honda part# 1420-MCJ-000. $30
Pirelli SuperCorsa Pro tires: Used. 120 fronts. 180 and 190 rears. SC2 and SC1. $100/set or $50 each.

Hi, I am interested in both the scotts mounts and the power commander. do you have the link arm from the damper and/or the link arm puller? Could you make me a deal if I get both? Please e-mail me at matttcaputo@gmail.com
Thanks.

You should really ask the customer service people at Penske about this. When I talked to them, they told me that every shock is custom made. In other words, they may be able to easily modify it to fit a 954. As for the spring, it has "800-803" engraved on it which is the spring rate and length. Again, Penske can tell you which spring you need. I hope this helps.

Re: FS: 929 parts:Penske,Braking,PCIII,wheels,etc.

The Penske 929 shock is longer than the 954 unit which may be a problem if you can't use about 7mm extra shock length.

They are 10-12mm longer and Penske can shorten the shock to fit on a 954. Contact Tim Godshall at Penske http://www.penskeshocks.com/

I stand corrected. On my RC it was 7 mm, and I couldn't remember what Tim said the difference between the 929/954 was, only that it was longer on the 929.

The PCIII and Scott's mount are sold.

Please buy up the rest of this stuff so I don't have to put it on Ebay.

I received my parts fast and they were well packed. Thanks! Should have asked for the cam chain tensioner too though, I missed that.

Thanks mattc. Let me know about the tensioner. I still have it and the USPS runs 6 days a week.

I got my parts from Shannon. Awesome packing, was quick, and he even included all original boxes and papers. Just figured I would leave others know of my experience with the seller.

Is the Penske still avaiable? I may use it for a spare.
