2001 Honda CBR 929RR under 4K miles

2001 Honda CBR 929RR in excellent condition, under 4,000 miles, clear title and garaged. All stock except for a Scorpion Oval bolt-on exhaust (original exhaust included) and a new Dunlop D208 rear tire. The original tire caught a nail and had to be replaced.

Black with Yellow wings. Bike is garaged in Ashburn, Virginia (near Dulles Airport, MCI and AOL).

KBB value lists the CBR900RR and CBR929RR under a single entry at $6,205 although they allow 27,100 miles for a 2001.

$5,500 No trades

Just an observation, but it might do you some good to wash/detail it for your ad photos. And explain why it's missing the left bar-end weight.

Probably the same reason the left turn signal is broken.

Thanks for noticing, the left turn signal lens had popped off on one side. It easily snapped back on. Rough crowd.

It can be. But in their own way they are just saying to disclose all the normally asked questions up front. Has it ever been down, how many miles, what modifications, what is the status on the title? Things like that. This is a good group of people that like fair and honest deals. Not trying to bring your add down. I certainly enjoyed my 01' cbr929 when I had it. Hopefully your bike will make someone else as happy as it made you. Good luck with the sale.

Re: 2001 Honda CBR 929RR under 4K miles

Thanks eyauch. The criticism was actually constructive (well, one of the comments) as I hadn't noticed the bar-end weight was off one side. The lens cover on the turn signal popped back on as indicated by the other of two pics visible in my post. It's a great bike, I just prefer the RC51 in this area (Northern VA near DC).

Re: 2001 Honda CBR 929RR under 4K miles

ummmm, I'm a rookie and I know why the bar end is missing...
THEY JUST FRIGGIN FALL OFF!!! I think Honda should have used hex head instead of philips... It's hard to torque them enough to make them stay without threadlock. bar ends cost under $20 even from the dealership.
I have the '00 yellow/black.... I always liked the '01 flipped colors better, though I wouldn't admit it in real life.
only 4k miles is a shame. I'm in NC, and will ask my homies if they're looking.
Good luck.
Edit: Also did the same thing to one of my rear signals by kicking it when i was too clumbsy to climb off.... Popped right back for me too.

Bar-end has been replaced and lens cover snapped back on! This bike needs a good home!
