| WTS: 2001 Honda 929 black/yellow 10k miles for sale! Alright I wanna cut throught the bullshit and get the gritty out of the way. Went out to start her today to move her from work to my house and she wont turn over. Didn't have any tools to pull the headlight fuse to see if she would turn that way, but I'm confident that either that way or after a little trickle charge on the battery she's start up good as she did the last day I drover her.
2001 Black and Yellow Honda 929. 10k ish miles.
And now for what needs fixing(the reason I'm selling) and what's not stock on it.
First and foremost what I'm assuming to be the speedo sensor? or some such part failed 2 weeks ago, about the time the rear tire started to peel slightly so I took all this as a sign from god to stop riding. I'm moving to south-ish florida and my new job will require me to show up rain or shine so I'm in search of vehicle with a roof and my daily rider must go.
I got shafted on a bad paint job on my rear wheel and it's chipped in a few spots on the edge back to the yellow color the wheel was originally.
Some rash on the tail, left hand side, from a low mph parking lot visit.
Left mirror also shows some scratching.
Left footpeg also replaced from same visit, but my frame slider saved me from any other damage.
Various other small scratches to the paint and fairings from normal use.
It's currently dirty.
Rear tire needs to be replaced. I was running dunlop d208.
Needs an oil change, I'm about 200 miles over.
Has a Vortex keyless gas cap.
Has a full Carbon Fiber/stainless Yoshimura exhaust. Small dent in mid pipe from dumbass parking lot driver.
Has a signal intergrator but it was cheap so it failed. Hand signals FTW.
Has a Yoshimura EMS system with a "stock" non-tuned map.
It's currently geared -1/+2
Clear windscreen.
Had a machine shop keep my left rear passenger footpeg. Doh.
The Atari sticker is gone.
Has some flush mount front signals LP? probably.
Oh and a Carbon Fiber front fender.
If you have any questions or any inquiries at all please feel free to PM or email me at robthereverend[at]gmail[dot]com A new tire, possible battery, speedo issue?, and oil change may not seem like bank breaking issues but I'm in between jobs and very much need something a little more suited to wet weather.
So Thanks for being out there guys. I remember the day the dealership trailered it to my house (pre MSF course and "motorcycle also" on the drivers license) with a dead battery and you guys helped me out. Or when I was having some FI (spark plug) problems. You guys were awesome through that too. Anyway..
4250$ OBO
Make me an offer.

| Re: WTS: 2001 Honda 929 black/yellow 10k miles for sale! UPDATE: I got a dunlop qualifier 180 rear from my step-brother who got his sv-650 stolen down in Miami. It's not mounted, yet. Brand new battery got put in her xmas-eve night and she started right up, sounded good. So 3700 firm still stands.
Location: The bike was trailed from Gainesville to Keystone (North Central FL). I'm about to move to Sarasota and if someone's gonna hop on this deal then I can trailer it down there when I move next weekend but it can not sit. I'm bumming a couch at a friends place untill I get my apartment and I'm not gonna let it be parked somewhere random. |

| Re: WTS: 2001 Honda 929 black/yellow 10k miles for sale! ANOTHER UPDATE: The Dunlop had a tear and was unmountable so on went a new Shinko 180 rear. And a new Dunlop up front. Trailered her down to Sarasota and she's either parked in the garage at the house I'm bumming at or at the garage at the hospital where I work. Had the oil changed, used Amsoil this time instead of Motul and new break fluid as well. She's still dirty but damn does she run well. NEW tires, same old price 3700 takes her home. |

| Re: WTS: 2001 Honda 929 black/yellow 10k miles for sale! Update:
High Side at 80 mph. The bike was lucky, landed in some tall reeds and about 2 feet of standing water.
I was lucky too. Eventually I landed in said reeds and water but not before I fracture my ribs on my left side, tore a bunch of muscles, hyper extended my elbow and bruised my spleen.
My friend took the bike out of the reeds and said everything but the windscreen and mirror looked normal. Haven't been able to confirm if it's all straight or not. |

| Re: WTS: 2001 Honda 929 black/yellow 10k miles for sale! Yea. I shoulda stayed off it. But it was dumb rider logic.
A Beautiful s. Florida day and a trip with my roommate to the grocery store.
So far nothing frame related looks bent, I've still gotta check the uppers and get the front fairing off. I'm not as spry as I was two weeks ago so this is going bit by bit.
I think all in all just to get her to a home that'll put some new (used) plastics on her I'd see her go for 1500. |
