I have to sell it because I bought a ZX-14. There's nothing wrong with the bike. I think I'm the second owner, and I don't believe it's ever been wrecked. There are some scuffs on the stator cover just because the wind blew it over once.

If I had bought it new, I guess it would be paid off, huh? I bought it 2nd hand 2 yrs ago. I've had a lot of people interested, but they all want to make payments to me on it.

Dont really know. I bought a 2001 929RR with 3200 miles on it in perfect condition, not even one tiny scratch on it for $4200 about 6 months ago. It came with an Erion bolt on exhaust system too.

i think your asking a reasonable price man, the guy that got one for 4200 mint got a great deal. i got a totaled one for 500 and ive put 2500 into restoring it not to mention the hours of labor. hold out im sure someone will come along

Thanks for that. I've seen people asking for 8k on the net, but I don't know how much they end up selling them for. If I was in the market for a sport bike, I'd buy it for 5500 in a heartbeat. I just don't need it because I have the ZX-14 now. The main reason I bought that was for long distance commuting or touring possibilities.

You might want to consider putting off the sale of the 929 for a little while until the "newness" of the ZX14 has worn off a bit. The ZX is the faster bike, but the 929 is hands down the better handling bike. Depending on your riding style, you might want to say goodbye to the ZX. :-)

Have Blue, you have a point there, and I'm sure you're right...if I lived near some twisties but I don't. I've always wanted a bike that could scare me in a straight line. The -14 can. Kawasaki finally made what I consider the ultimate bike for me. I love the 929 but the more I ride the 14, the less I want to ride the 929. I like the sound of the slip-on exhaust on the 929 a lot better, but that's not enough reason to leave the 14 parked

I've been to NC numerous times. The one thing I never found there was a straight road. LOL
If I didnt already have a 929, I'd be knocking on your door. :-)

I'm in Eastern NC. It seems like any road with a slight bend in it has a dead deer on it.

By the way, my pay-off dropped a little. I'll sell it for 5200.

Yeah, you have herds of deer and we have herds of bluehairs in Eldorados. I dont know which is worse. :-) You're really tempting me, but I would have to sell my 03 Bandit 12S which is so comfortable, its criminal. LOL
