yes the paypal is a myth trust i just did a deal with a guy on this site and used paypal he sold me a upper fairing and a tail for 165 claimed they were in like new condition i asked if tabs were broken or if cracked or rash and he said nope only slight rash i will create a thread and post pix of the pos parts he sent me the tail has a hole big enough for me to put ma hand thru it

Credit cards offer more protection than Paypal.
Paypal is only a holding account. If the account is empty they don't have the authority to pull money from your bank accounts.
Escrow is probably the safest way to transact for both parties. I have paid dealers on the other side of the country to check out bikes for me to ensure they do exist and are as described.

Personally, I'd like to see people keep their discussions public in the For Sale threads so that if there is a problem it's all open. And I'd rather see pictures as attachments rather than links. Last year a guy posted pics of a different bike to the parts he was selling but he took down his linked pics after the sale.
I don't like seeing items posted for sale with "call or email me" as they could sell it to half a dozen different people.
And I can't see any problem with making a for sale posting un-editable after a few minutes. If you need to change something just quote the original and make the changes, which also bumps your post to the top again for free.

this guy did a similar thing to me, paid him $800 via paypal for a 954 motor which he claimed was from his personal bike then started giving me stories about its been built and then told me its been shipped and then told me that he will do a refund because he does not have time to talk things through with customers. wasted my 2 weeks and then claimed he is a reputable member....

Way to much drama guys. Scammer? Thief? come on........ i own a machine shop, rarely do I ask for a deposit (depending on circumstance of project) do alot of work on bikes on other sites. Get the order, machine the part, ship, a few weeks later receive a check. Never a headache. If I had to go through this bullsh*t I'd probably commit myself. actually you were told the motor was coming from a bike we hadent yet recieved but you insisted on paying up front and when you didnt get it immediately I refunded your money and sold it to a local customer...I gave you your money back within mins of getting of the phone with you...The other reason was...YOU WERE BUYING IT FROM ME TO PUT IN A CUSTOMERS BIKE. If you were buying it to get your bike back on the road no prob. I sell things on here cheap to help out, but no way was I shipping it to you so you could make money on it, I could do that with a local customer. I am going to meet the gentleman from CT tomorrow to give him his motor in person...this guy(the real scammer) that did a chargeback before recieving his parts is either not going to pick it up at the post cause he thinks he going to be arrested(why? Cause he knows hes wrong) or he will go get it and never pay me and I will have to fight with his credit card company to get paid...so in the morning I am going to the post office and crossing my fingers I can get my merchandise returned before it gets to him. Everyone here can make their own assumptions but NO ONE can say I ripped them off NO ONE...not every deal I have done has gone smoothly, everyone HAS gotten what they have ordered from me and sometimes more. People have had many pleasurable experiences with sales from me...look at the seller feedback thread...THIS arse..posts some crap to save his own face and everyone wants to break my balls. Have I shipped stuff out late..YES...Is it hard to get in touch with me sometimes..YES. NEVER ripped anyone off...If I have by all means post up. I have a family and a business so I burn the candle at both ends alot, but I try real hard to give great deals and help people out. But as I said before...its done. This clown was the last straw for me on here.

This guy(big king) also failed to say in his original post that he also has our carbon fiber guy making him some ram air covers for his bike also...guess I should chalk that one up as a loss also. I have tryed to communicate with this guy...but read his posts..he's all over the place and doesnt make sense. It doesnt work with some people unfortunately.

I've read the whole thing and even if you don't receive your product I wont view chasesdaddy as a scammer. He is a good guy and many other people know this so your thread bashing him simply because you are acting like an impatient 14 year old girl isn't going to do much to tarnish his name. I sent Chasedaddy my gas tank, and received it back in about a week and half. The only complaint I have is when it was returned to me, it was all fixed and no more dents (character).

But I am waiting on some decals that I was hoping to have cut for my upper fairing.

So youre saying that youve shipped the product, and its at the post office right? So post some sort of tracking #, otherwise ive had EVERY effin reason to charge back the 3gs.

Call the cops for what? I still havent gotten **** from this guy. He held onto my cash for 3 fuccking weeks. No tracking #, invoice # etc. You expect me to just believe this guy that he shipped my product.

14 year old girl. Sorry mr. baller, i didnt recieve my product 3 weeks after i paid for it. Why shouldnt i be impatient. If he truely shipped it out, then he can easily post a tracking #.

just post a friggin tracking #. if it shows that the product WAS or WAS TRIED to be shipped, then ill leave these forums forever. If not, then go **** yourself.

Okay, since obviously you have never received mail before, here is how the post office works. If shipped through the USPS, when the package arrives they will put a little slip in your mailbox that says you received a package that you need to go sign for and pick up...you then take that little slip to the post office and a form of idea, give them the slip and your id, you sign, you get the box. Not very difficult. And if you don't know where the post office is located in your town, I'm sure you can find it on the little slip that they put in your mail box...or I don't know, you could pick up the phone and call them? Might be hard for you to use the phone though since you obviously have such power and authority behind a keyboard.
