954 Carbon Airbox for Sale, Seattle WA

I have a rare Hotbodies Carbon Fiber airbox for the 2002-2003 CBR954RR. It is brand new and has never been installed on a bike. I bought this for my bike a few years ago, but my bike got stolen before I was able to have it installed. It moves the radiator down and breathes from above it with a scoop like the 1000rr's. Pics will follow if you're interested. I bought it for $420 and you can't get it anymore. I'll sell it to the best offer.

The only bodywork modifications required is triming of the inside fairing to lower the rad. Nothing is visible from outside.

And it breathes from above the radiator like the 1000rr, not through the snorkles over the frame spars. The filter is also WAY bigger.

And it comes with PAIR plates?
Is it required to remove the PAIR system to fit the lower intakes?

It's a single lower intake, and yes the pair delete is required for clearance.

Yeah ... as trick as this cool little upgrade is I'm gonna pass for now ... between buying my new suspension and the fact that this mod will require me to get a new dyno tune ($$$) I'm stretched too thin!

If it's still available in a few months I might just revisit the idea.

The only concern would be the throttle bodies would have less surface to seal ~1mm less all around the perimeter. I'm not sure what it is you're saying here but the 954 and 929 throttle bodies are identical in OD so if one fits, so will the other. I'm running 954 throttle bodies on my 929.
I don't know if a 954 airbox will fit under a 929 tank though.

The 954 Throttle bodies are 42mm the 929 ones are 40mm. The difference is in ID, therefore where they meet the airbox there would be a 1mm difference in the mating surfaces. I don't know about the clearance with the tank, but I think it would fit. As I remember the two original airboxes were very similar in dimensions when placed side by side. This airbox is a lot smaller than the original 954 airbox, so I think it would be fine.
