| New chrome windscreen from Sportech I just picked up a chrome windscreen from Sportech. Although they come in many different colors I thought the silver chrome would look the best on my bike. Sportech has done a great job with these units as they are some of the thickest, toughest windscreens I've ever seen. They fit the bike as good as the stock screen and add a whole new look to the bike. They are releasing a new see-through chrome version but it was currently not available for my bike.
My friend just got a yellow chrome screen for his 929 and another is expecting one of their new see-through chrome for his R1 so I should have more pictures soon.

| Re: New chrome windscreen from Sportech Hey, it's not bad at all. How's the visibility like at night? How much light are you losing? |

On my 98RR I can barely tuck down low enough to look through the screen anyway so it's not a problem for me. In the bright sunlight, it is a bit dark on the instrument panel but I don't get any glare off the gauges which is a good thing. |

I'm sure if you emailed Sportech or gave them a call they would be more than willing to make it right. They have a really great team and seem to care about their products. I will forward your concerns on to the guy I've talked to at sportech but I urge you to do the same.
Let me know what they say and how they handle the proplem.
Sorry you're having problems, they really are pretty cool!

| Re: New chrome windscreen from Sportech The one I purchased some time ago didn't fit well on the 929. They were also showing pictures of the red chrome on the Erion edition matching perfectly. Let's just say it is the worst "perfect match" I have ever seen. I was not impressed at all, and I took it off within a week of purchasing it. |

I wouldn't have thought a red screen would match the more orange color of the erion paint scheme.
The screen we got for our 929 fits great!

Not sure how it will look with the yellow of our bikes. the 98-99 900's have a more goldish yellow. |

| Re: New chrome windscreen from Sportech The chome looks nice! Not too sure if I would ever go with the gold (yellow chrome) look on anything. I have also seen these over the pond at http://www.performancemotorcycleparts.com/ They seem pretty good, I have bought carbon parts from them in the past.
