| New bridgestone street tire is good enough to race on?? was reading the Press launch of the new Gsxr 750 in my new Roadracing World and Sam Fleming said the limits of the oem Bridgestones(Bt-014) "Were well above a track day pace and pretty far into the ranks of Novice class racing"
So i went back to some of my other mags and read the press launch's for the new cbr1000rr,gsxr 600 and everyone was ravin about the grip of these tires.
Damn..and they are less than $200.00 a set. |

| Re: New bridgestone street tire is good enough to race on?? The only "street" tire I would race on would be the new Corsa. I say that because others have raced them with good results.
Maybe the new 014's are up to the task though? For only a little bit more you can get the 001 DOT race. |

Anyone have a bad story about Bridgestones?
I like mine my 012 and am waiting to try some 014. |

I like mine my 012 and am waiting to try some 014. | 'Stones are a very good tire, but in my opinion, the Pirelli Diablos are better in all categories. |

I think a lot of us ride Bridgestones.
edit: I currently have 010's and have many GOOD stories about them. They don't grip as well as my old Pilot's but they slide MUCH better! In my mind, since I am no Rossi, being able to recover from mistakes is much better than extra grip.
If I had the money, I'd try Pirelli's. Up here, they are more expensive than anything.

I like mine my 012 and am waiting to try some 014. | I like my 012 "stones" a lot... They stick OK, and wear well I hated the stock Sport Pilots, but after all the great reviews on the Pilot Power tires I might give them a try next time |

| Re: New bridgestone street tire is good enough to race on?? Where do you order the new Bridgestones from? For under $200, i'll throw them on as street tires. I currently run the Corsa's on the track and love them, however, I really like the 001's on the track as well. I got a killer deal on a Med/Soft set of 001's, so they are geard for track duty once the Corsa's are shot. My street tires are due for replacement soon, may try the bridgestones you are talking about. |

Mine are BT45 (sport touring) and my buddies (F4i and 929) run the 10's and we all have no complaints.

| Re: New bridgestone street tire is good enough to race on?? I have ridden 4-5 sets of BT010's on two different bikes and think they were overall a great tire. I even did a track day or two on mine. I am currently using BT012's on my 929 and like them alot. they are cheap, grip well, warm up fast and are predictable. I have 4-5 track days using BT012's and have managed pretty good lap times. I am considering trying BT001's or 002's for my next track day though. Dunlop D208gp's work well on shorter twisty tracks but on the open fast courses.RA,Brainerd...I hate them.
