If you could change one thing........

If you could change one thing about your bike off the showroom floor, what would it be??

I don't mean popular mods like exhaust, rearsets, chain/sprockets, etc. Something else that usually isn't changed. Since I asked, I'll start.

I'd change the paint scheme on my TLR. The yaller one wasn't available in 2002, so I had to get the blue and white. I gotta tell ya, I freekin hate it when someone walks up and says "Nice Gixxer, Man. Is it a 750 or a 1000?"

The tail lights on the RC. My dad and I were looking at them today and he even asked why Honda would put two big squares on the back of a "Superbike". Looks rediculous IMO. Ill get an undertail at some point, but I other things I can spend $350 right now.

I'd make it 300 lbs. Imagine that 929 power on a 300 lb bike. Plus it would offset my fat arse.

Re: If you could change one thing........

The RC tail lights look they're straight off a CBR250RR Baby Blade. Pretty crap for a bike of that "calibur". Hahaha
I'd make mine a Telifonica G.P No:45 race rep paint job. Hahaha Or the Laguna seca scheme Colin had on the SP2.

Price....i'd make it an even $.25....I would be able to buy so many more cool mods if my bike was $.25!

Re: If you could change one thing........

Make my 954 jet black from head to tail. With no decals other than the "HONDA" at the bottom and the wing on the tank.

Too many bikes these days have too many colors and too many decals.

Re: If you could change one thing........

Hmmm... Can't think of anything. My 929 functions very well as it is. The looks are OK, too.

Well, it would be nice to have spools on the swingarm. The asymetric setup is somewhat inconvenient.

CT, stick a twin in that thing, and I probably would.

Oh, but wait, that would be almost like an RC51, wouldn't it?? Maybe my next bike anyway!!

On the serious side, I only rode 1 Fireblade, and was impressed (is awestruck a better word) with the power and how light it was. I just hate an I4, but that's just me.

Re: If you could change one thing........

Better paint quality, ie harder and more durable.

A better seat (I know it's a sportsbike, but it doesn't take much to spend $5 manufacturing a decent bloody seat!)

Better Fuel Injection (I think the new 1000RR will fix this)

A cooling system, since the current model seems to be missing it.

Re: If you could change one thing........

Hmmm... My 929 is s'alright.
My druthers...
I'druther have a different paint scheme. No biggie. I'm here to ride, not look pretty.
I'druther have better setup suspension. No biggie. I probably just don't have it sorted.
I'druther have a steering damper installed. No biggie. HyperPro installed.
I'druther have a louder bike than my mom's sewing machine. No biggie. Thanks Hindle.

The one thing I really need to change is the on/off throttle response! I really need to concentrate on throttle application PRIOR to entering a corner - the results? Less attention to spend on actually cornering and I ride slower because I'm always worried that it's gonna catch me out. *grrr* I miss my F4 that was carbeurated... I could dump it into a corner and I was confident that power would come on smooth and steady without the drama of "sudden on" throttle. I guess this is more evident on the street where you spend time in the low-revs.
