| Devil (or other exhaust cans) repacking? Did a search with not a lot of hits. How long before repacking is necessary to quiet the can back down? I've noticed my Devil CF is quite a bit louder from when I first had it. I've only got maybe 7,000 miles on the exhaust. Where do you get the fiberglass material and do you think it'll help? Anyone repack their aftermarket can, whether Hindle, Devil, Micron, etc.? Did it help? Or, is it not really necessary unless it's really got some serious miles on it? | |

| Re: Devil (or other exhaust cans) repacking? I know I have to repack my dirtbike cans once a season. They have kits at the stealers for packing - all it is is a type of fiberglass insulation. Mines gettin' louder, too. I have 8k miles on my Devil. One problem I see with my Devil is there are no screws - only rivets holding it together. Taking that apart is going to be tricky. |

| Re: Devil (or other exhaust cans) repacking? Adam had to repack his Muzzy last season. It actually had no packing left at all  It was somewhat of a PIA since it had rivets. We bought a cheapy riveter from Sears. But it definitely improved things. My ears didn't hurt anymore riding behind him.  |

| Re: Devil (or other exhaust cans) repacking? Thanks for the replies. I'll call the local dealer and see if they have it. The Devil system does have a lot of rivets. It's good to know that you're noticing the loudness (Johnnycrash) as well. I just wanted to kind of make sure that after all the trouble, the packing doesn't look semi-new (read waste of time). |

| Re: Devil (or other exhaust cans) repacking? I had to repack the pipes on my superhawk before. You can get fiberglass at the stealer, but I wasnt too impressed with the quality of the stuff. I'm not a big fan of two brothers, but they have a good repacking kit. Where as the fiberglass at the stealer was only the density cotton the stuff that comes in the TBR kit is like boiled wool. They also include stainless steel rivets, and drill bits so all you need is a riveter. I borrowed one from a friend but they only cost about 20$. Hope that helps. John |
