Looks a little fishy. Kawi had the most power but was the slowest ?
I wonder if that guy owns a Honda/ Yamaha dealership?

Re: Excellent writeup on the new Blade

Yeah, the May issue of BIKE also raves about the CBR1K. "Honda's new Fireblade is the fastest ever production road bike. It may not have the highest top speed, may not be the hardest accelerating, but nothing will stay with it over the full spectrum of road riding demands."

It also says it's too much for British roads. "On UK roads the Blade trades too much of its previous usability for ability that you dare not tap into."

They rated the R1 best overall, calling it the "new Fireblade." But the Honda was a very close second, and they said Honda told them they had a "pre-production" model that had only 138 HP.

Let's face it - all of the new literbikes rock. Take your pick, you probably won't be disappointed. I still want a 999S...

Hmm, well I just now got around to actually reading your attachment booth. Man, if I had the $$ I would own all 4! The ZX10R sounds very exciting, but as usual, Honda has the most well-rounded machine. I would love to be able to take all 4 for a ride and go from there. Damned $$ shortages

Re: Excellent writeup on the new Blade

In the whole "how good is the new honda?" discussion, Id like to refer you all to the current WSBK and Australian SBK standings (Australian SBK arguably the most competitive in the world). The honda is the only "new" thou able to mix it with the ducati's. In Aust, Brookes has the wood (altho by very small margin) over the other thou's. Disregarding Maldin (no one can catch that prick ) in the AMA, Hondas fill 2nd and 3rd spot. All the new bikes are silly fast, beauty is in the eye of the beholer. To all those with '04 thou's...you lucky BASTARDS to those who dont (eg ME!!) keep dreaming
