There's been alot of recent discussion on long distance riding, Iron Butt, the SaddleSore 1000, Aaron Frank's piece in
Motorcyclist, etc.
But can you even begin to fathom ten consecutive 1,000 mile days on a motorcycle???

According to my calculations, if you rode the Iron Butt every day for 10 straight days and
always maintained 65 mph and never stopped longer than 8 minutes for gas and only stopped for that gas every 195 miles, you would have to maintain that pace from 0600 to 2200... every single day.
Sounds like fun, don't it?
3 hours in the saddle, 8 minute break
3 hours in the saddle, 8 minute break
3 hours in the saddle, 8 minute break
3 hours in the saddle, 8 minute break
3 hours in the saddle, get some fuel, eat, go to bed to sleep for 6 hours (if you're lucky and don't need maintenance) and do it all over again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again.
Effing lunatics.
