| When Chain's blue, he mods! Nothing brings ol' Chain around like some modding.
After waffling on the whole clutch thing, I've decided to sample every conceivable combination of billet clutch cover, pressure plate, and spring retainer imaginable. Yes indeed, as I demo'd every last one of the available exhaust products on the market for the Honda CBR954RR, I will now embrace my pathology and simply stop trying to fight it.
Thus, I give you new CNC machined Paulimoto pressure plate, hogged out clutch cover, and spyder spring retainer, all solid billet aluminum, anodized for long lasting bling.
Keep your fingers clear when the bike's running girls and boys - I tested this whirling digit decapitor with a raw carrot and the results were not pretty.

Stopsign, the sound is hard to describe. Best you seek out a Ducati and get a listen for yourself. I guess I'd say it's sort of a clattering, a bit of a metal on metal, high frequency clack-clack-clack-clack as the steels click and bang against the clutch basket.
The very first mod I did to this bike was to pick up a used carbon clutch cover, an open "half cover" actually. Turns out this is the loudest cover you can put on one of these Duc dry clutches. The plastic sort of magnifies the sound and the open cover acts as something of a horn.
This setup is not only prettier, but it's sturdier too (in case of a fall) and looks alot better. Plus, it's not quite as noisy. A nice improvement IMO. |

Or just imagine or remember the sound of a normal bike dropping a valve and that metal bouncing around. You know that whole "about to fall apart" type sound. Looks good Chainyboy...
