Stupid people are everywhere. My belief is, had they not been in the military the story would of never happened.

Seems like you have some issues you need to deal with and get over. "Oxygen Thieves" as you so eloquently put it, are everywhere in and in every sect of society. We all know the news is into sensationlism, here is a sight that will tell you what our services are doing that is good, http://www.house.gov/hasc/pressreleases/ Feel free to read what the boys and girls in blue, green/brown, are doing to help the people.
Antinomianis? Nice handle.
Of or relating to the doctrine of antinomianism.
Opposed to or denying the fixed meaning or universal applicability of moral law: “By raising segregation and racial persecution to the ethical level of law, it puts into practice the antinomian rules of Orwell's world. Evil becomes good, inhumanity is interpreted as charity, egoism as compassion”
I understand your comments now. |

What? Did ya use the kneeknockers as hurdles?
Not really getting bent. Just don't appreciate it when someone collectively insults the military/gov't who hasn't stood the watch. Kinda like, "if ya didn't vote, then don't b*tch". He has a good point that there are some "oxygen thieves" in the military but we see them everyday wherever we are in "normal" society. There are a lot of great people doing great things. Unfortunately it is only the stupid things that get the attention. It is not the schools being built, the streets being rebuilt, hospitals being refurbished, loads of gold being found, etc, etc...

| Re: Couple of smart ones.... You are correct, but we don't look at it like that. Even though we are technically a branch of the Navy, we are classified as the elite section of the military, so it can't be compared. Not to mention the roles for each branch are totally different. Have you ever heard someone say they were a grunt in the Navy? LOL, probably not. |

I think you misunderstood me. I'm not sure if you were talking about me collectively insulting the miltary because I didn't mean anything like that, I'm saying those 2 give the military a bad name. I agree with what the comedian Lenny Clark said "I respect the person for who he is not for the uniform he's wearing, if he's an asshole in a uniform then he's still an asshole and I won't support him"
and I wasn't insulting our government just the president because he's an idiot, how can someone fail out of college when they paid for their grades? must be pretty ******* dumb or maybe it was the coke he did, no one said anything about that but they criticized Clinton for smoking pot once, thats hipocrisy.
And I disagree with your statement that if you didn't vote you can't complain, the way I see I complained before the election because I didn't want any of the candidates so I still have the right to complain after, I will forever complain until I vote which will only happen when there is someone deserving of my vote, I won't vote for one guy just because I don't want the other guy to win, if they both suck then we should do it again. I love how all the replublicans say that Gore wouldn't have done anything after 9-11, I don't know what reality they are living in but the fact is he wasn't in charge so you can't say either way whether he woulda done good or bad so get off the guys back.
See this is why I hate politics/politicians.

| Re: Couple of smart ones.... No doubt that their is corruption all over the world. When I was active in the Marine Corp, and stationed in Japan, a Marine in my company was charged for raping a 12 year old Japanese girl. He obviously didn't do the moral thing, by only looking, so that is just another example that you will have people in every outfit, no matter what it is that is going to make it look bad in some way. Their just isn't anyway around it really, when you start getting in the masses, like a military for example. Their is roughly 45,000 Marines, so not all of them are going to be perfect humans. We catch a few idiots too. |

Pot stirrer are we?
Yeah the Marine Corp falls under the Dept of the Navy and as stated they don't like, not one bit. The Navy is basically a delivery service for the Marine Corp and they used to be our security for Nukes. Outside of that, two different services with two different purposes. Navy keeps the sea lanes open and the Marine's secure the beach so the Navy can have liberty.....
Now.... |

They, the services, are only a reflection of society itself. |

Marines sleeping in the desert covered with sand....Squids sitting in a blow up pool on the deck of a carrier....
Sounds like the smart ones joined the Navy (but then I know Mojav954...so that disproves that theory.. ) |
