DON'T just throw away everything you learned, it works, trust me! |

| Re: Update on MSF Class......... My sincerest congrats as well!
You have achieved the first of many steps that it takes to become a good rider. I applaud your desire to approach riding the correct way. I trust that you already know that nobody masters the art of riding. We are continuously learning throughout our riding years.
So enjoy the sport and always ride your own ride.
Well done, doode! |

waht kind of bikes they use out in CA for the class, I assume the Nighthawk 250 or something like it, thats what we had, I had a lot of fun on it, made my 86 zx6r seems fast (after getting the 929 I realize just how slow that thing actually was but I did race my friend in his hopped up WRX and beat him easily on the ninja). must be a big difference for you going from the little bike to the 929.
I recommend the book Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Ientasch (sp?), awesome book, everyone should read it from the beginner to everyone short of Kenny Roberts Sr.

| Re: Update on MSF Class......... glad u took the course.. my buddy thought he was too cool to take the course... after readin on here about how you shouldnt even bother taking the license test with a sport bike cuz you wont pass it i advised him to take the class and get his license that way. well, his cheap/stubborn/cocky ass decides that i am a moron and that anyone could pass the test (cuz he's had a whole week of riding experience and "it isnt that hard"). so he takes the test and during the test he is taking a left handed turn, in the middle the the turn the statie tells him to stop quick... instead of straitening the bike up and then stopping like you are supposed to (which i learned from the class) he tries to stop while still taking the turn... so what happens... the bike tips and falls.... with him underneath it... FAILED... not only failed but failed with a BRAND NEW YZF R6 with custom scratches on the side... man, when i heard about it that night i couldnt dial his phone number fast enough to give him the big old I TOLD YA SO.... so me thinkin he learned his lesson i ask him when he is going to take the course... his stupid ass responds .... im not takin that course... i have a retake in 2 weeks... cant wait..

hmm from everyone I hear thats taken the registry test its cake. one friend of mine went with his Firefighter shirt on and his test went like this "you a firefighter?" "yup" "how long have you been riding" "7 years" "ok you passed"
