| Just Trying To Keep Up With Chain... Keeping up with fellow Ducatista Chain isn't easy, what with my meager construction stipend versus his lofty law-enforcement salary. Yet still I persist.
Here's a couple of my recent mods. My dry clutch features a titanium billet Cycle Cat cover, over a MotoWheels red pressure plate, stainless springs and black spring caps.
On the opposite side I have the matching Cycle Cat sprocket cover, next to the new black billet Evoluzione clutch slave cylinder.
Chain, I see your bling and raise you some dope mods! |

Hell, I drive an modest Chevy truck, never buy new clothes, and eat Grape Nuts three times a day to afford my bike modding habits!
Tell you what whip, in all candor, those mods looks fantastic. Really beautiful stuff, two thumbs up! I especially like the black spring keepers in that red pressure plate, very nice. |

Just silly. | Actually, the vented clutch cover and plate are functional. The pressure plate, at least on mine, recesses the springs, unlike the stock plate. And, the vented clutch cover helps prevent the clutch from overheating, and is strong, so it will prevent clutch damage in the event of a tip-over or lowside. |

The Ducati boys needed that reassurance. I am sure they appreciate that.

Sure, if I just wanted function without form or passion, I could buy some ugly track bike that would get the job done. I prefer to enjoy the full experience - the passion of owning a bike that performs exceptionally well on street or track (not just my opinion - read the reviews), and that has a beauty and Italian style that thrills me in a way that other bikes don't.
And at least half the bikes at the last track day I enjoyed, were getting passed by this overpriced, overmodded poser bike, with a relatively inexperienced rider aboard. |
