very nice bike though. all you gotta do is powder coat or get carbon sets and whatever else is silver on there, a black can and take off the silver SUZUKI and GSX, leave the bike orange R. Yoshi makes a carbon fibre TriOval right? That would be some sweet ass stuff.

Re: I'm joining Chain...

I signed the contract and the cost of the bike (converted into US funds) is $9,273.31 USD. The only difference with Limited Edition is the colour scheme. I think it looks fantastic in black. It has the can on the side and a reasonable amount of storage space (compared to the other 3 or 4 top and current liter bikes). I'm having the frame sliders, swing arm spools and alarm installed at the same time and will pick up the bike this Saturday.

Good luck with your new bike and it does look hot in the black color

I'm not a big GXSR 1000 fan. I've rode three 04 models, they all felt like the front end was in mud. It's hard to describe really.. They do have a butt load of power though. Goodluck with the new ride.

I had gone to the dealer last night just to check if everything was going according to schedule. Everything was installed. The only thing they hadn't done is polish the bike, as it still had some dust and fingerprints on it.
I'm going over to pick it up later today. I'll post a pic later this afternoon.

Guess I can't say much about the underseat exhaust....can't believe you don't like it??? But as for the heat....I've had my 1000RR since March and I have no heat issues...either route you choose...enjoy!!!

Re: I'm joining Chain...

Well, I finally have my baby home. Picked her up at the dealer earlier today.
There was a few small scratches on the back, just behind the seat, so they're ordering a new tail section which will be installed when I go in for its first service interval at 1000km.

I went for a small 10km ride just to feel her out alittle. My hands didn't give me too much problems, but they got tired alittle too easily. I kind of expected that which is why I didn't go for a longer ride.

Now I have to finish my physio (got to play with that squishy ball) so that my hands get to 100%.

The bike is REALLY smooth and very rev happy. The quality I found to be Honda-like and there are many thoughtful features I found on the bike as well.

The rear seat cowl was also included and my alarm was installed in such a way, so that the trunk space was not reduced. Very fine job and a very fine machine.

There were 12 stickers on the bike...and they're a pain to get off.

Other than that I got a BIG grin!!!

Re: I'm joining Chain...

Kudos to you, that is stunning! Simple and elegant, not too many decals. Thank goodness the manufacturers are getting away from the overstyled paint schemes they used to lay on these bikes just a few years ago.

Well, I didn't want to over-do it...since this isn't a Suzuki site

Besides, I didn't take many pictures anyway. I think they total 6 or 7 plus one of me. I'll post some of the other ones in my gallery.

A link to your gallery would be nice ....

Like this one.

That bike is sweet looking....I'd take off all the stickers but the "S" on the tank, add a full system, and PCIII.....
