Those aren't pocket bikes ...they are crappy "Super bikes" that people like to call pocket bikes. That nitrous probably killed it .

Pocket bike.....
I have to disagree with you. Those old Polini knockoffs can't touch the 13hp DM.
This is a real pocketbike:

Re: Nitrous on a pocketbike!!

The Origami is a sweet ride, but I like the way the DM handles.
Any one of them is a blast, but the high end bikes like the DM Official, GRC RR and Blata Origami are worth the price.

I've seen several examples of the cheaper models going for under $300. What do the Origami and similar models go for? I've always thought they would be a blast for the money.

Re: Nitrous on a pocketbike!!

Make sure you're sitting down...........
The high end bikes go from $2K to $3.5K retail. You usually won't even find them used for less than $1K.

I'm thinking you're asking how much I have in it? Well, my buddy has a shop, so I got the bike at cost and the mods were actually free. That said, I'm still in it over two grandies. Sucks, but they are a hoot and you can ride them all over the place.
I have been clocked at 52MPH by a local copper, too (I weigh ~225lbs. by the way). Fun and a bit nerve wracking.
If you're asking what the value of the bike is, less than half what I have into it unfortunately. These toys don't exactly have much resale value.
