| Re: please send Pete well wishes! Pete left a message on my cell. I think the other site listed everything, but he said several broken ribs, broken clavicle, ruptured spleen, and something about his left shoulder socket being "destroyed". Hope the news improves on that. If I get any updates, I'll let you guys know. |

| Re: please send Pete well wishes! My best wishes go out to Pete. I was not certain it was 'our' Pete until Tigerblade's response, but in retrospect it really does not matter. To whichever Pete this is, get better as fast as you can. You don't need that spleen, but I'll put in a special request for the shoulder to mend right.
We're all thinking about you and hoping for the best. |

| Re: please send Pete well wishes! Dayum Pete! I'm so very glad to hear that you survived this! Sounds like the shoulder is the most serious injury - hope it all ends up fine.
I do have to say, posts like these really make me re-think the track vs street debate.
Hurry up, use up ALL of the fun drugs they give you, and get your ass back here and to **** stirrin'... |

I sent Pete an e-greeting with the rest of you. God almighty, I hope he comes out of this okay. At this rate, the idea of going back to the track is scaring the poop out of me - I'm sure Pete's a better pilot than I am.
Here's to a full and speedy recovery my friend! We're all with you in spirit!!

| Re: please send Pete well wishes! I managed to to see Pete for about 10 minutes this evening prior to the doctor coming in to prepare him for the epidural and surgery (to repair his spleen).
Surprisingly enough he was in pretty good spirits. If you didn't see the huge blunt trauma bruising to his shoulder and arm you wouldn't even know he had been down. He has a pretty good recollection of the events leading up to his off-track excursion and doesn't blame anyone but himself for it.
Current tally is 6 broken ribs, broken clavicle, broken scapula (including the arm ball/socket) and a punctured spleen.
I wasn't able to leave the laptop with him since he was still in SIMU but he believed that the plan was for him to move to his room tomorrow. Link to HoustonSportbikeNetwork.com status thread. |

| Re: please send Pete well wishes! Man, having raced at Texas World Speedway (TWS), Turn 1/1a is the last place you want to tank it. It's a super fast lefthander that you hit coming off the LONG straight.
Good luck, Pete. Heal fast!
