Car vs. Bike

Might be an old one but I thought it was quite interesting.

This was a good comparo between two high performance vehicles, operated by two talented individuals respective in both genres. Representing the cars and driving the Porsche Carrera 4 is Jason Plato, outstanding driver with multiple wins in the British Touring Car Championship. And for the Bikes riding the Yamaha R1 (looks like a 1999 model) is British Superbike Champion and former Moto 500cc GP racer Niall Mackenzie. Find out which one was faster.

Porsche vs. R1

PS, that limey narrator needs a good shot! lol

Yeah but what cost more $$?

...and at the first traffic jam, the bike will keep on going while the car driver fumes in the queue.

Re: Car vs. Bike

how often do you come up against a 911 C4 in the twisties. better yet, a 911 C4 in the twisties with someone who knows how to drive?

Besides, who cares, it's about having fun there are tracks where bikes are faster than cars, and vice versa, a local bike mag ran an article with the lap times for the V8 supercars and the superbikes at various Aussie tracks. The bikes came out on top more often than you would think...

Well my local track, Wakefield Park, is a tight twisty short track which definitely favours cars. Check these records out. Over 6.5 seconds difference between a formula 2 car and Josh Brookes on a 929.

Re: Car vs. Bike

The car wins..but only because of the curves. In a straight shot the outrageously priced car will lose to the 8100 dollar R1
