| Head Tilt No, it's got nothing to do with what your thinking...
I'm curious to know especially with riders who have done the safety course etc.
When you enter a corner (in this case say a right hand turn) , how do you position your head? eg.
1) Do you keep it perpendicular with the road. eg. Tilt your head to the left.
2) Tilt it to the right?
I hope I'm making sense here |

| Re: Head Tilt If I remember my riders course corectly, you tilt your head and look in the direction that want to go. Therefore you tilt your head to the right. |

| Re: Head Tilt If I understand your question correctly, when looking through the turn you want to keep your head tilted so the horizon ( or road surface.) is level and horizontal in your field of vision. |

| Re: Head Tilt Yep tilt your head so that your eye line is level to the horizontal plane (i.e. horizon) and then turn your head so you are looking as far through the corner as possible.
So in your hypothetical "right hand turn" you are leaning the bike to the right, your body follows presumably and your head then tilts to the left to compensate and bring your eye line back to your horizontal plane.
(I'm sitting I'm may chair and going through the motions to get this right, usually its an automatic response, but I've been riding two wheel contraptions forever.)

| Re: Head Tilt I think its pretty simple I mean your head should basically want to correct itself automatically so you could see things the right way. I actually never thought about it much till now but I think it just does on its own |

| Re: Head Tilt Is there a "right" or "wrong" to tilting your head either to the left or right?
When I lean right, my head tilts to the left so that my view is level to the road. The same happends when I lean left.
So, does my form need correcting? |

| Re: Head Tilt I find that by looking ahead through the turn my head naturally tilts so as to be level with the horizon... (does that make sense?)

| Re: Head Tilt It doesn't have to be exactly level, just close. Your brain will compensate for a good portion of head tilt. Try this. Focus on something right now, and tilt your head from side to side. You will notice that the horizon still stays level in your view as long as that is what you want to happen.. |
