any one have pilot powers on a 1KRR

I have done a couple searches on tires and tire choices, I cannot find many threads on the latest from michelin, any one have any reiveiws good or bad, track or street on the new pilot power? I have the oem spec bridgestone on the 04 1KRR and it has pretty much evapourated after 3000 KM, I am not happy, the tire has had lots of grip and decent "feel" it has just dissapeared way to fast. My 929 used to get 10000KM per rear tire, riding just as hard on pilot sports. I check my pressures at least once a week and I am always a close to the high side of the manufaturers specs, now I know that the 1KRR has a "little" more torque than the 929 did but still, I am very suprised with the wear. I figure that if I can get another 2000 light KM out of the tire I will be lucky. I was considering the new pilot power, I was always happy with the michelins that I had before, i figure why not give them another try, just thought that I would try and get some real riders info and feed back first, any opinions on those tires or other tire ideas are always good too

I haven't got a 1000rr, but one of those less powerful 929's I'm on my second set of Pilot Power tires, and I like them a lot I have used them in all sorts of conditions from long wet rides to trackdays and on German Autobahns and I have no complaints. I think the stock Pilot Sports were plain scary

I would say give the Pilot Powers a go if you get a good deal on them.. I'm sure others will chime in and tell you how great the Pirelli Diablo tires are

Re: any one have pilot powers on a 1KRR

hey thanks, I always found the pilots good once they warmed up...how has the wear been on the powers? I have heard that they are sticker than almost anything but last longer than most...would I be far off with this? I guess that silica is a wonderful thing? as far as the less powerfull 929 thing, I think that bike will always hold a special spot in my heart(sob) wish that I could have afforded to keep it for the track, but...did I mention that I love my 1KRR? what did you pay for yours? I have seen them as low as 139(american) for the rear? sounds good to me as I am used to paying 260 candian for a pilot sport...Thanks for the info
