| Re: Things that make you go "HHmmmmm..." Id almost say he's legit... With that many posts at least... That last guy KimDN is a AMA racer and with him asking about the frame, if he buys it, its legit. He is a member over on Rogue too. Im almost thinking of parting out my 929 at this point. Biggest problem with that is the frame. I know it is worth a pretty good bit, but I would have to make sure it went to someone with a legit bike and not looking to clean a stolen...

Chris | That was a big issue last summer here. Lots of stolen bikes and all they would do is go on ebay and get a frame with a title and bam no more way to track the stolen bike.
If you sell it local I guess there would be a better chance of at least knowing if its going on a stolen bike of it the bike was wrecked |

Chris | You might ask around if this is possible. In AL when a car is totalled you have to replace the VIN I would think that you could 'total' your own VIN for the purpose of foiling thieves. Just a thought. |

whoever you sell it to you'll have all their info so it wouldn't be too hard to check on them a bit later huh huh . or you could sell the frame to a shop
just my thoughts ,keep the change |

| Re: Things that make you go "HHmmmmm..." I know a guy who is starting up a Ducati dealership who also races.
He parted out a few brand new Ducati's right out of the crate.
Great for start-up money due to sum of the parts being much more tha the whole. |
