| Don't forget! This Wednesday* is the first annual beat a bike thief day! In honor of all our fellow riders who don't feel the need to work for what they want this Wednesday will be the day to give them the gift of pain. Anyways, new member here, my garage was broken into this past weekend and my S/B '02 954 was removed from my possession. I'm located in Fairfield County, CT. If anyone hears of anyone in this area offering cheap parts for a bike like mine I'd be extremely grateful for if you'd let me know. Now comes the fun of dealing with my insurance company. They've already sent me a huge 'theft' survey that I need to fill out with such questions like 'how many doors does my bike have', 'were they locked', 'did I have a roofrack or sunroof'. Idiots.
*Thursday is the annual tie a Yankees fan shoelaces together day. |

| Re: Don't forget! I thought Connecticut was a pretty crime free state. Braking into your garage to get your bike? It must have been one special bike.

| Re: Don't forget! I sorry to hear about that,my friends laughed at me when I told them I installed a GPS tracking system on my bike. One rider got one installed on his RC51. 3 weeks later his bike was stolen between 3am and 5am (he came in at 3 and had to be at work by 6) anyway he came out and it was gone! He got online and logged on to the locator system and guess what...he saw his bike moving via mapquest! He called the police(they thought he was joking at first because all the police know is LOJACK) but they did look into it and found his bike right where he said it was to the address, with several other bikes and bike parts. 2 people were arrested and his bike had some scrapes on it! But he got his bike back!!! So for some people security is better than a pipe...spend your money wisely everbody..protect your investment. |

| Re: Don't forget! I am guessing that the self-monitored gps tracking system would be more cost effective than the lojack. I am interested in that setup for when I get my new bike. Can you get any more information on what parts are needed and where they can be obtained. Thanks for the tip. |

| Re: Don't forget! alright good thing I read this today so I can go beat some thief ass tomorrow (not that I'm big enough to kick anyones ass).
and isn't everyday the day to do something to a yankee fan? there was a guy who called into a local radio station last year when the Sox were doing awesome and he came up with the best quote ever (the station plays it on occasion to this day) "make the world a better place, punch a yankee fan in the face"
