| Re: Led Turnsignals Well my deal with flushmounts is visibility. I lead a lot of rides and am tired of having to do hand signals so people know where to turn.
If the flushmount can be easily seen up to 15 meters behind me, then it is ok |

| Re: Led Turnsignals They are'nt LED, but they are halogen. I have a pair on my SuperHawk and really like them. They're much better than the cheezy LP ones (three years and still on the o.g. bulbs) and they only cost about $2 more than the LP's.
Oh yeah, they're also DOT legal. K & S Tech |

| Re: Led Turnsignals I bought a set of DOT legal short stalks from Dennis Kirk. They have the necessary lettering on the lens and have a real reflector in them. Then I purchased a set of 30LED superwhite bulbs and removed the LED board from the base and mounted them in the short stalks after removing the reflector. I used a large dollop of clear silicone to mount it. I replaced the stock flasher relay with a non-load dependent relay so it will blink at a steady rate, not like a strobelight See them here DOT legal short stalks |

Pretty much NO custom aftermarket signal you can buy has that rating. Most have an 'E' rating on them, that's a European standard whaich carries no weight here. |

. | No problemo.
I had the bulb LP shorties a few years ago until a friend mentioned that he could barely see them from 20' away while following. I've seen similar halogens, but not DOT legal. The rear signals on my RC are halogens (the o.g. owner put em on) but I don't think they're legal. The first cop who hassles me about the signals is gonna hassle me about a lot more than that if he's gonna get technical...
At some point I'll order another set of K&S for the RC... |

| Re: Led Turnsignals That's what gets me. So many people want a custom look but don't give a damn about the functionality. If you can have both, then go for it! I haven't seen one to just buy so that's why I made them! |
