new kawi zx 6 : claimed 133 hp?
i read on motorcyclenews.com today that kawi claims 133 hp for the new zx 6 r. id give you the linky but the sites closed for maintenance as of now. anyone hear anything about this? that just sounds cWAZY

I don't recall Kawi stating it was 180 at the rear wheel!! The ZX-10 does put out 160-165RWHP which is pretty damn impressive.

I was checking out some hp and torque values for some bikes and noticed that the R1 had actually the lowest torque of the big 4 liter class bikes. What is up with that?

There is a sucker born everyday. I just cannot believe that some one would make those kind of claims with a stock motor with a few bolt ons.

They are the bottom feeders of motorcycle magazines... A rag I would not use to clean my chain with...

I'm supprised they did not claim 160HP fot the 6R...

they were riding the 04 zx 6 r's not 05. nor did anyone ride the zx 10 r since kawi did not field a superbike this year and next year is also still up in the air BUT i hear that tommygun may be their choice for a superbike ride if they decide to do so that would be great hes one of my fav

It would not be surprised. My wife's ZX6R is ligther feeling and once on the cams faster feeling than my 929. Plus it's about the size of a vespa!

An unusable narrow torque band will often feel that way regardless of how slow it actually is.

Tommy Hayden won two races and three other podiums in SuperStock on the ZX10. Josh Hayes and Roger Hayden had a few podiums each as well.

True, I read the Duc MotoGP bike only had like 80 ft-lbs or so. The rev them to the moon and make mucho HP but the short stroke keep the torque down. Also, with only 990cc, you're not going to make big torque anyways.

Hey thanks, I guess I see what you mean about the short stroke high rev.=low torque. Just seems crazy. I'm sure they don't want real big torque#s like a streetbike likes. Thanks for the reply
