tire prices, group buys?

I'm going to need a new set of tires for the spring and was wondering if there is anywhere that has good deals now while I still have money? I've seen a few places that offer discounts on larger quantity orders so I was thinking maybe we could see how many need new tires for spring and get a discount(shut up all of you who don't know the difference between winter and spring ). I really like the diablo corsas and will order the same again. What do you think?

Re: tire prices, group buys?

hmm, maybe hit up one of the sponsors... I know cal-sportbike had a good "shipped" price on 208GPa tires... He might be willing to cut a deal, but with tires, it'd probably have to be up in the 10 pair range before it was worth the time and effort...

I'm not sure how much Corsas should cost but swmototires offers free shipping if you buy two or more tires:

Re: tire prices, group buys?

Ron Ayers has a sale on for Pirelli Supercorsas and Metzler Rennsports ($100 for fronts, $120 for rears). Unfortunately, they only have a few sizes and compounds still available.

Linky

Looks like I'm all set for this season!

EDIT: Looks like they're sold out of the fronts.

If you can get a real nice price I would buy a set of regular Diablos. That site Kidder posted has pretty good prices already though.

Re: tire prices, group buys?

If we can get the price of Diablo Corsas near what Discount Motorcycle Tire is charging for a set of Pilot Powers, I'm in for sure.

Re: tire prices, group buys?

Actually I got my last rear from Ron Ayer's Honda a site sponsor. Decent price and delivery time Just a thought I am probably going for a front before season starts.

Worth about 5-10 seconds at Jennings ala Flasher.*

* Disclaimer: Flasher rode these tires his second time at Jennings... His extreme drop in lap times is due to his astute riding ability and in no way should be equated with a new set of tires. BUT... he did say the GPa's were the pooh!!!
