Hugger - Should I buy it?

It's $114US and although its not carbon fiber, it looks pretty snazzy.
What do you guys/gals think?

Rumble sells some nice stuff. Faux carbon is OK in my book - had a Red Fox piece like that on my SV. And what the hell? Most folks won't know the diff. Besides, I can tell you from experience (real CF fender and hugger on my Monster), carbon chips and looks like hell in short order.

Thanks for the input. I just wasn't sure because I haven't heard about this distributor before. So I thought I'd get some input from you guys. This hugger is made by Puig. All I know is that they make wind screens.

Rumble is located in Montreal too, so I can go over and take a look and buy it on the spot.

Re: Hugger - Should I buy it?

I'd not hesitate to purchase Puig anything. I've got a Puig Racing Screen (so they're called - it's simply a DB) on my Hayabusa. I really like it. Very sturdy/well made.

Go for it!

Second the vote for Puig. I've had 2(different) screens of theirs and they're both top notch.

Never heard anything bad concerning Puig - should hold up well.

Nice looking hugger too!

Re: Hugger - Should I buy it?

I'd love to see a pic of one of these installed on a bike. Anyone? Also any issues w/ installation? Those look good (& functional).

Re: Hugger - Status report

Haven't had any problems with my hugger, it's been holding up great so far. It's rubber mounted, so there's no issues with stressing the plastic (ie. cracks). I also like the fact that it screws into the swingarm and is more secure than some of the other huggers that have clips. My hugger screws into existing screw holes in the swingarm, which is really cool as I would hate to use a drill on it.

It looks great and is easy to clean. (I just use a damp rag and some Honda spray once in a while).

I would recommend it!

Here are the install instructions (with pics):

And here are some of my pics:
