| Re: NY Bike theft ring busted It's rediculous that the guy was in business this long. I wonder how many forum members bikes he is responsible for stealing? I am starting to wonder about all of it now that I have read this thread and I think I may confine my posting here and .net because the implications of corruption seem to have a decent amount of circumstantial proof (yes, I think that is an oxymoron) to back them up. |

This bust could not have happened to a nicer bunch of douchebags. With good fortune, they will be getting fudge-packed by some 300-lb cell mates for a good couple years to come.
With a sandpaper condom.

I don't think any of these guys need any more publicity or problems right now as every person that ever had their bike stolen suddenly have someone to blame. I'd be more afraid of the amount of people looking for some payback from me right now if I was them. And I don't quite get what you mean about Queens. I lived in Brooklyn for 7 years and Queens was like a vacation. |

Sorry, I'm not afraid of anyone in a stand up face to face, but when your family is part of the equation, then all bets are off . . . |

Sounds like the work of that dirty cop. That's a level of worry no one should have to deal with.. |

Ask Gabriel or rc90 about NYPappaBuff. He lasted about 30 minutes over here, but not before calling everyone on here about 50 names and threatening to rape/pillage/maime and kill several people connected with the site.
btw, anyone that knows my wife would never threaten her without at least a 2 hour head start in the opposite direction . . . |

| Re: NY Bike theft ring busted Abtech,
I was making lite, not knowing this actually happened to you.
Now, hopefully you reported it. This guy seems like a bigger 'shitbird' than I thought.
People, honestly, if this happens to you, at a minimum - come ask for some input or assitance from some of the LEO's on this site. What happened to Abtech is considered "Terrorist Threats", and is taken very seriously by all the agencies I've come in contact with.
If this guy was receiving information from the Detective, it would have been easy to involve "clean" Law Enforcement, and they would have been able to look through "Logs" of CLETS or NLETS (what we use to "run" someone) to find out who was receiving the information. Without following (DOJ imposed) guidelines, Officers can't hap-hazardly run people through the system. They're passcode enforced, and easy to trace.
I'm sorry you had to go through that Abtech, speaking on behalf of good cops. It's easy for us to deal with (if I had a dime...), but can be off-putting for a regular guy. My sincere apologies. |
