| 1st DynoRun Micron Current map for DynoRun 12 Feb 2005
Above is the map I used for my first DynoRun today. DynoRun 954 '02 17,000 miles flap removed 15/45 micron ti-scorched slip stock filter 87 octane
I am about to tweek the flat spot, but wanted to throw this thread out there for the more experienced gurus that have any adjustment suggestions.
I should mention on this run, the tech was only able to get the exhaust probe, the length of the slip, so he states the figs are a bit low. Thanks in advance for any pro input.

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron QUESTION: Page UP is the equivelant of richening fuel mixture 1%. This translates to how many increments "chartwise" of adjustment to your air/fuel mixture curve. I'm trying to get the curve to 13.1 as I believe that is the best mix. |

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron Tweeked for Flat Spot
I will give this map a shot in the morning. Basically, richened the mixture evenly across from the base Yoshi Tri-oval map I was using in the 2000-4500 rpm range. Any input/advice appreciated

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron from the looks of the dyno graph it looks like it is time for some new spark plugs!!! |

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron how can u tell? for the record i've put on 17,000+ and the plugs are original. they are due for a change, but w/out having visually examined, IMO she's running good. now if a change of plugs is in order i must me missing out on some performance!! also i will restate the exhaust probe was only able to get down to the bottom of the slip...if that makes a big difference for the dyno chart results?! |

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron i can tell from the choppyness of the graph when it gets like that it is usually the plugs (or a spark issue) but most then likely it is just a plugchange that will help. and if you did not remove the PAIR valve the A/F #'s will be off as the PAir valve allows for extra air to go into the exhaust. and the probe does not need to be that far down into the exhaust. |

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron jd, thanks man. looks like new plugs are in order. just riding her i couldn't tell if i should stick w/ the routine maint. schedule or not.
the flap is removed, but i didn't do the PAIR mod.
as far as the flat spot goes, u have any idea richening the fuel mixture 1%-15% incrementally effects the dip in the chart? based on my dynorun, if i don't have to take her back for the custom tweeking and could make the adjustments myself, that's some serious dough i can spend better elsewhere...and moreover save myself from my wife's wrath:/ i just need to address that huge lean spot and smooth out a few bumps a few hashmarks. |

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron you would really have to do the PAIR mod fist then re-run the dyno to get true A/F #'s. after that you can start trouble shooting. |

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron also if you want the bike to run tip top you have to have it custom mapped. make sure you run on a dyno jet 250 that hopefully has been serviced recently and make sure they have a "tunng link". you will be happy it is a good $300 investment. nut don't do it till you are certain you are going to stick with the pipe you have for a while. |

I loaded the map I adjusted and she's haulin'!!! Noticeably smoother. The butt dyno can't tell any significant more oomph. If i come across the extra loot I'll get that custom map 1 of these dayz till then, my baby got more power than i know what to do with l8r |

| Re: 1st DynoRun Micron My question is "does he have access to the tuning link program?" Tuning Link is a program from Dynojet, NOT a device. It's not a LINK between anything as such. lol
You're chasin your tale mapping the bike off dyno runs, and you'll only ever map the 100% throttle area doing so. To me, the pc is a waste of money unless you're gonna get it set up right, which is a custom map written using Tuning Link.
Personal my arse. By personal, he means he spends a **** load more time on the dyno , revving fuk out of your bike, to try and get it as good as someone that takes half the time using Tuning Link. Haha. Tuning Link gets the bike as close to spot on, in the least amount of time. Any GOOD tuner will then spend a little time tidying up bits and pieces, but what he's saying is BS.
BTW, you don't need to do a PAIR MOD as such. You just need to block or pinch the hose that comes from the air-box into the pair valve, when you measure the air/fuel. After that, it makes no difference. It ONLY effects the air/fuel reading when you map the bike. |
