I'll give ayers a shot, can't find anything on ebay as of late. These can't be more than $25-$30 shipped.

Yeah I know they're worth their weight in gold!!

Sorry more like $60 at Helm. But still worth it, all the specs and diagrams I have one for my 1KRR and plan on another for my Ascot soon.

Re: Where to find OEM Honda service manual for a good price?

Guys (& gals) please don't get me wrong. I know full well the value of having a service manual. Maybe I've just been out of touch but the last two that I bought were $25 and $30 respectively, of course that was a while ago.

Even aside from the money involved when it comes to dealerships, I just don't like anybody else touching my bike! As far as I'm concerned no one is going to take the time to do something right on my bike like I would.

I'm just being a cheap ass and if I don't find one for a good price on fleabay or wherever, I'll pony up the $60 bones and get the goods soon enough.

If anyone needs one I have the factory service manual for my '96 900rr (in mint condition if I may add ).

Also have the service manual to my now wadded '01 R1, kinda starting a collection here.

954 Haybes Manual

The Honda manual is better IMHO but the Haynes manual is now out.

Anyone questioning getting the $60 repair manual needs to rethink what they are questioning. I use mine all the time. Almost everytime I work on my bike in fact. The torque specs alone are worth the price.

I bought a genuine HOnda service manual (used) for my 1000rr on Ebay for $40 shipped. They're all over the place on there. Also, you can get the microfiches on cd for 5 bucks.

I have purchased service manuals for my last 4 bikes and never paid more than 45.00 for them from the dealer. I bought the one for the Vulcan from the Kawasaki website and it was 37.00 (and quite the manual btw . . .).

Why not buy some stolen bike parts too, while you're at it?

Hey, that's the kind of format I wanted it in and that was the only way I found it.. The original makers of the manuals could sue these people if they wanted to. It's not like they are hiding.

It's EXACTLY like they are hiding. Try asking one of them where they purchased the copyright license for the manuals. They disappear, change their account and return as someone else.

For whatever it's worth, Helm is the ONLY publisher of the factory Honda Service Manuals. They can be bought direct or through your dealer...

Yeah I saw that auction a few days ago but one thing had me questioning it.. Here's a quote from the auction linked above:

"This service manual is an exact replica of the factory OEM type service manual."

Now my question is this, what the hell is an exact replica of the OEM type service manual? Is this a copy kind of like the CD's? They just did it all nice like and bound it and everything or is this the real deal?

That manual is worth it's weight in gold. The exploded views of the bodywork meant it took 2 hours to reassemble my bike instead of 8 hours.
