| Re: Tiered Liscensing, what do you think?? I've always thought it was a good idea. I would however propose that they establish a tier that's a little less restrictive than what some of the UK tiers are.
However, there had better dang well be a grandfather-clause for those of us with endorsements > 4 years already. |

| Re: Tiered Liscensing, what do you think?? Every time this debate goes on I ask the same questions....that go unanswered....
1. How about a link to some data that proves the system works any better than ours...?
2. If the system is better, why does insurance coverage cost more where they have the system?
Both honest questions....if someone can show the data, I'll change my vote...
Until then, I stand firm that we need more personal freedom, and less building blocks for a nanny state on this side of the pond....

| Re: Tiered Liscensing, what do you think?? Based on how long you've had your MC license.
In other words, Joe Blow (any age) who just got his MC license shouldn't be able to go out and buy a 1000RR. |

Definately need a better rating system for experienced drivers.I'm paying premium cause some kid/newbie doesn't know how to ride, yet I had my MC license B4 my cage license when I was 16. |

| Re: Tiered Liscensing, what do you think?? Show me a country with tiered licensing that has lower MC insurance rates than ours....
If the tiered system works better, shouldn't it cost less to insure MC's because of fewer accidents/fatalities as proponents claim....

| Re: Tiered Liscensing, what do you think?? How do you figure? Someone can get their MC license at 16, or at 50. And frankly, I don't want either of them on a 1000RR. |

BTW, I HAVE seen this age range at our weekend MSF classes here with a beginner's permit. The 66 Y/O had just paid cash for a V-Rod with $12,000 extra bling. |

I was a better, more responsible rider at 18 on my first bike, a 600 supersport,(couldn't buy a bike until then) than most are with years under their belt. Why? Because I'd ridden unlicensed motorcycles most of my life. |
