Thats REALLY too bad, as its the most reliable, fastest, easiest to use, and most well designed interface mail client I've ever used and I've used a lot. I don't use my provider provided email address for one reason I don't want to be tied to any client, and secondly their web interface ain't all that.

I vote that this sites admins allow gmail sourced addresses.

And BTW, has this site REALY had a problem w/ abuse in the past? I've never been denied an @gmail account w/ any vbb forum I frequent. Maybe abuse has been a problem here in the past, dunno.

All free e-mail services are disallowed because they allow people to easily set up new identities.

I just set up an account here, and it was quite a hassle. It can't be that bad going through hotmail, or another mail server...

It's been tried many times in the past. Soon after allowing free e-mail accounts spammers, troublemakers, and worse flock to the site. It's just not worth the effort.

Most of the members appreciate the fact that spam and flamers are kept to a minimum through aggressive signup requirements. Eliminating freemail accounts has helped tremendously.
