| Re: OB-GYN Motorcyclist You know Conq, I believe there is more to this story. For 16 days, I think the Officer either said more than the article stated, acted extremely during the stop (thus the "Dr. should have stopped immediately" statement) or maybe "priors" with that Officers interactions with the public.
Both professions have their fair share of individuals with "God Complexes".
The difference being, when an Officer is complained against, he has to deal with his Chain of Command.
When a Doctor is complained about, the Hospital wants that Doctors and his/ her patients patronage, so often nothing is done.
Just my and no offense to anyone intended. |

The cop didn't believe that a "doctor" would be involved w/ something so cavalier and imature as a motorcycle.

The officer did not believe that he was a doctor. Now you know he informed the officer he was a doctor because, how else would the officer have known to take him to the hospital? The doctor delivered the baby at the hospital after he was ID'd as a doctor by personel. |

You know what? After careful consideration of how deep I want get into this, I retract this statement. Luvtolean is correct. Doctors are treated just like everyone else in society, and always conform to the rules set out by the Government and their profession. They are always courteous and respectful to those around them. They never receive preferential treatment.
I have family members in the medical field, so I know this is true.
