| Just call me Chain Jr...... I have went and done it again. The Busa will be gone on Monday and I put my down payment on a new gray BMW K1200S today. It should be here in two weeks. I rode this bike today, all I can say is wow. It has all the best of my old 929 and the power of the busa. Granted it's not quite up there in speed but the pull is simply amazing. It was very comfortable to ride, but wait there's more...... are you ready..... I could actually see behind me using the stock mirrors. This is one kick ass bike, I will post more when it gets here. Of course the pipe will be changed to a Remus full TI as soon as break in is over, other than that it is pretty much good to go. Here are a few shots from the website...

| Re: Just call me Chain Jr...... I think the Bimmer's pretty cool actually. The shaft drive is sweet for a sport-tourer.
Nice machine, Jr.
Make sure you post several photos and a post ride review once you bring yours home.
Chain
P.S. No reason to wait on the Remus until after break-in, FWIW. Go forth and MOD!! |

| Re: Just call me Chain Jr...... Nice bike tyk I was thinking that I would like one of those, something with more power than the VFR800, tours, but still carves it up a bit. be nice to hear a full review when you get it, and maybe a comparison between it and the busa ?(that is another one on the list) |

| Re: Just call me Chain Jr...... Chain, the only reason I am waiting to put on the exhaust is it will not be here until a week or so after the bike gets here. So, I figured I would just do the 600 mile break in then have them swap it all at one time. The parts manager is going to throw in the install with the first service.
Just from the small time I took it out yesterday, it is night and day from the busa. Chain can verify this.... with the busa you have to pull it down in the corners with you. It doesn't just fall in. The k12 reminded me a lot of my old 929 (rest her soul) as it would start leaning as soon as I thought I wanted to turn. I could tell the difference between the shaft and chain drive. It is a little smoother.
ND, if I am spending this much on a bike.... it came with everything. Heated grips, electronic suspension adjustment(really cool mod), assisted braking(I forget exactly what they called it) and anti lock brakes. The anti lock brakes work so good I almost went over the front as I tried them out.
G-force, definitely need to get together and ride. Maybe we can get fig to come out of his hole for a day. I will post more when it gets here. |

| Re: Just call me Chain Jr...... A guy at work has an RT and says the shaft on the Beemers is unique also. Something in the setup that prevents it from rising up as much from the torque. To be honest I was nodding and being polite Of course he also claims he can lean it through the twisties with the RR.
