| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most my first street legal ride, A 1983 XL250R. Thing was mint. Honda XL's are bulletproof. I made $700 profit on it when I sold it, but I sold it to some kid who apparently beat the hell out of it. I still see it sometimes barely together and all messed up. Probably the only decision I regret. |

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most I've owned the following:
73 CB 360T
2001 Shadow 750 ACE Deluxe
2002 954
2004 GSXR600
I still have the Gixxer and am happy w/ it. But I miss the 954. However, if I still had the CB360 I could race vintage, and that would just be a blast!

Although, I'd have to say some of my fondest memories were born on my '79 ATC110. For its day that thing was a blast. It would go ANYWHERE. Dunes, snow, back woods, even floated it down river with the engine idling to keep the water out of the exhaust. |

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most It would have to be my KTM 300EXC. That dirtbike was just a blast to ride. I traded it in on a Husaburg 501. Trying to trail ride it was like putting a bull in a china store. 92 mph stock it was geared for Baja. |

I'm still in love with the original ATC90, and had to fight hard just yesterday not to make an offer on a mint example I stumbled across online. |

I actually bought a basket case a few years ago for $25 in a fit of nostalgia. I spent another ~150 on a slavage motor, tires, and seat cover. Got it running then ended up selling it in a garage sale. It went quick. |

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most Both of my CR's (80 and 125). I really wish that I still had both.
Not that could not go out and pick them up though. Except for the money thing that goes along with the process.

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most I miss my 2000 VFR, but not as much as I miss the 954 (I totalled it). Every time I see one like it ('03 red/black) I feel a little sad. I love the 1000rr but the 954 had way more personality. |

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most A couple of you mentioned cars, since that was started, I always miss the '72 Cuda 340 I had. Oh man, I could cry now thinking about it. Nice red with the black stripes and a slap-stick shifter. It had a Holly 750 Spread Bore double pumper and lumpy cams. If you hammered it anywhere below 70 MPH, it would just bog down, but above that.....................

The real nice change compared to the 79 was the seat went up the gas tank.
If that thing could've talked, the stories it would've told....
We were having a neighborhood wide waterfight and a neighbor and my Dad took off while us kids were playing. They came back with a crate of crap. Next thing we know Dad and the neigbor (a CHP officer) are running up and down the street on the 110 doing drive by's with water balloons. |

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most I've only parted with 3 bikes, but the one I miss the most is the NT650 Hawk with LE forks and FOX shock. Bought it for $2200 after it had been sitting for a few years, put $600 into getting it back on the road, and sold it for $2800 after 26K happy miles. The only thing I didn't like about it was the pitiful fuel range. But...she had to go to help pay for the 929. |

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most The "bike I never should have sold" would have to be my '91 FZR1000. I had it painted like Rainey's '91. I traded it for a TL1000S in 1997, HUGE mistake

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most I miss my 1987 Suzuki LT500R Quadzilla the most. I had to constantly wrench on it...but that damn thing would pull like hell!!! I don't really miss my last truck since the replacement does everything the truck did and more.....except haul stuff. I hate having to borrow a freakin' truck! |

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most Really liked almost every bike I've ever had. But I can't honestly say I miss any of them because the one I have now is so superior to them all.
But I do miss my 1995 Honda Del Sol. That was the sweetest car ever built. Under-powered, the windshield shook, but man there wasn't a finer ride to pop the top off of and cruise up and down the gulf coast.
Damn thing fit like a glove too. And that's the only car I've ever had that I can say that about. |

| Re: Bike you miss parting with the most I miss my Y2K Candy Grand Blue SV 650. Great bike, suspension set up for me (Penske shock, Racetech front), nice power, great sound (Micron high-mount full system), etc. etc. What a great all-around bike.
Chain misses his SV, too. He's just afraid to admit that he misses his 'lil 650. |
