| Sport-Touring is Fun... ...when you've got roads like this, and a great bike for it. Here are some of the pics I've snapped over the last few weeks. It's been really hot here - one more good reason to head for the nearby mountains for some fun twisties and beautiful scenery. |

| Re: Sport-Touring is Fun... Nice, reminds me of the canyons I learned to ride in up in NorCal!
If I still lived up there, I would probably have much more enthusiasm for street riding.
Beautiful bike and pictures (as always)! |

Don't buy the "no sportbike" crap. There's just not much bike traffic up there in general. http://www.pashnit.com/roads/cal/Highway70.htm | That looks like fun, too! |

How do you like the ST? I pine for my old VFR750... just can't warm up to the 800. No offense to any 800 owners. I keep looking at the ST since Triumph released pictures of it @ the NEC show. It looks very tastey!
I wish Honda would punch out the Viffer to 1000 cc or better like the Triumph; bring back the gear-driven cams, keep the single side swinger and give it the once over. Honda should make the matching bags OEM, just incorporate it in the cost of the bike. Combine the best assets of the VFR and the Dos Equis and build a super-sport tourer. No LBS, ABS as an option w/ a deactivate switch for when the rider specifically does not want the ABS.
Beautiful pix, which road(s) were you on?
Cheers

Cheers | The ST has definitely exceeded my expectations (which were quite high to start with). It's a big bike, so I imagine for small guys it might seem a bit large, but being 6' 2" it feels perfect to me. Very comfortable seat and ergos, with a motor that is powerful, smooth, but with a bit of a nasty snarl (particularly under deceleration) that is really intoxicating. Fit and finish are excellent, although not quite to Honda standards (but who is?). Cornering is very good, as is suspension (although I'd prefer more adjustability there).
So far (1,500 miles), I'm really impressed. I just wish aftermarket parts were a little more readily available (still waiting for my "tail tidy" and hugger from the UK).
The roads in the pics are all within an hour or so of Boise, Idaho, and include Highway 55, Bogus Basin Road, and the road between Banks and Lowman, and the Garden Valley to Crouch, Idaho road. There are also a couple on Highway 21 toward Stanley (which is about 2 1/2 hours from Boise). The photos paint merely a very small picture of just how spectacular the scenery really is.
