-C9B5R4- | Not in the United States. We had the Hurricane moniker on the 600 in the early years, but never the Fireblade name on the 900.

I think the 1000RR would look much better with a raw frame. |

How many Dreams and NSR's do they really sell. None is street legal and not really fast enough for trackdays, so they can only be raced. What's the market in this country for that. I have an idea looking at various race clubs and it isn't very many. |

| Re: 2006 Honda Models From HondaNews.com! Not sure what is going on at Honda Motorcycle company these days. Almost seems they are going the way of large American automobile manufacturers. Make stuff that is pretty good but nothing too revolutionary. Stick with middle of the road have a few novelty items and then wait for the profits to come rolling in. One more season of Honda getting their assess handed to them on the race track and you will be able to get a Honda motorcycle for a song. |

Radios. Airbags. Heaters. Low RPM's and lots of weight. Goldwing owners should just buy a convertible and be done with it. |

Honda does make a good reliable machine. But for one you think they could be #1 in something. The Busa has had the High speed podium for what 6 years running. ZX 10 swept the market the liter class, and may do it again. For once I wish Honda would build a liter bike to put the na-sayers at bay. Last year in one of the comparo rides one said, If I had to recomend a liter bike for a beginner it would be the 1000RR. |

| Re: 2006 Honda Models From HondaNews.com! The '06 1000RR looks INCREDIBLE!!! I actually like the Blue/Yellow, though I'd probably buy it, send it to a paint shop, have the Yellow deepened to the color on the 00 Euro-spec 'Blade, and have the paint-scheme reversed. While the paint-work is being done, the wheels would be broken down and sent to the powder-coater for the same shade of Yellow (or a yellow front / blue rear... ala Smokin Joe). Once I got it back, it would be recognizable,...but different enough to stand out, which is the entire point for me. I would never use 155 RWHP on the street, on the track, or in my dreams. I've done some pretty insane things on two wheels. The second stupidest (is that a word) thing I've ever done was an indicated 175MPH+ on a public road, in the rain. This act of insanity was trumped only by the marrying of my second wife (another situation I have since rectified). For me, its about riding hard, within my self-imposed limits, leaning harder (off-ramps, sharp corners, Deal's Gap, etc) and looking good (rolling and standing still). I could do that with this bike. To me, the '04-'05 machine was just plain phugly! In the words of Chris Rock... "Go ahead and "Boo"... You know I'm right!". |

I like my red '04 I only wish the blue/black euro colors had been available. Also i guess I am not that concerned with the look vs function

I just hope someone comes out with an aftermarket lower that covers that opening in the fairing. Other than thatm the red/black looks great. |

| Re: 2006 Honda Models From HondaNews.com! I like the style of the 04 and 05 1000RR's more. The new bodywork looks cheap in my opinion. As for engine mods, the average rider can't even safely harness the 150hp that the 04 and 05 models crank out. I think they should be concentrating more on reliability and longevity instead of cranking out a few more horsies. The liter bikes are already scary-fast. Plus, applying 150hp to a single back tire sure chews it up quickly. My 04 has 4000 miles on it and I'm already looking at getting a new back tire. I'm going with a harder compound this time because this bike is not just my toy, it's my daily driver.
Peace to you all, and keep the rubber side down! |

| Re: 2006 Honda Models From HondaNews.com! The power figure in the above link is of course at the crank, so basically it's going to be running the same as all the other current litre bikes in 06. Looks like they might have breathed some life into the old donk though. I'd really like to see a power vs Time dyno chart of the current crop of bikes. There's definately differences in how long it takes to get there, which really makes a difference when riding. |

Peace to you all, and keep the rubber side down! | Edge Man,
My 05 Blade has done 5500 miles and is on it's 3rd set of tyres! This is all road mileage, and no track. You need to try harder if your rear is lasting 4000 miles!
