| Re: Anyone ever try this I have thought about getting one of those nsr50r's. Mainly as a teaching tool for my son once he gets big enough but heck that puts even more reason to get one in my train of thought. Looks like it's a blast. I like how much they play on how sensible it is to race one. Cheap, good on gas, easier on tires. not near as fast as our big bikes we love so much and hate if they get destroyed. Nice find.

| Re: Anyone ever try this The Honda site lists the NSR50 as an '04. Are they discontinued? |

#6 | | | Re: Anyone ever try this Our very own G-Force Junkie used to race those & did quite well.
I am involved in pocketbike racing, though I still can't race them myself, I have a racer that races my P-bike & has a blast!
Check out http://www.scminigp.com The class the NSR's run in is called the Shifter class & it's great fun to watch them tear up the kart tracks on them.
Boys, Girls, Men & women all have a blast on the little bikes.

| Re: Anyone ever try this I was a ysr 50 racer for 10 years. I still have the 50 and go out only 1 or 2 times a year just for kicks. I started on the ysr before real racing and continued after i quit racing full size bikes Highly recomended! |

| Re: Anyone ever try this I did an SCminigp race hear in CA. it was a blast. I rode a YZ80 super motto. The bad thing about SCminiGP is that they are a new org. and don't really check what mods people have done to the bikes. There was a guy with an apprilla 50 that smoked everyone in the 50 & 80 class. The rummer was he had 3 or 4g’s in the motor. Every "stock" pocket bike had a pipe and then some.
All in all it was great. I plan on doing it again. Trying to figure out whether I want an nsr or a super motto bike though? Any one have any thoughts on that? |

#10 | | | Re: Anyone ever try this Josiah is the one that founded SCminiGP and runs the races with the help of a few other awesome hard working people. My friend Paul has been with them since they started and just can't get enough of it. Paul is about 6'2" lol.
I jumped on a YSR a few weeks ago at the last race date @ Cali Speedway and thought it would be sweet to race on those tight tracks.
I spoke to Kevin Duke (Writer of the above article) for awhile....very nice guy and was looking good on his NSR. He really seems to be getting to love racing the little bikes. It's awesome to see when you roll up to the pocketbike pits....they look and feel exactly like the big bike pits!! Everyone's got their EZ-Up's and tools out. They are all so helpful to one another it's unbelieveable!
If you get a chance, come check it out!!
