| Impounding my 929 Erion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK I'm a big fat idiot. No license and no insurance; But I wasn't speeding! Had a helmet. Using signals. I think my bike just looks fast and sounds fast and therefore must be moving fast.
Well I got insurance (Baby in jail 3 odd hours) today and got the bike out of impound THANK GAWD. Luckily the guy towing the bike knew what he was doing and could see I wasn't having any dings.......and I had the satisfaction of talking some **** to the officer and had him visibly hard. No I'm no bad-ass but Hey I'm not walking away with $500 in tickets politely. Have at me. John

| Re: Impounding my 929 Erion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You big Dummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you learned you lesson... Got to have the license and definitely even more important in my book is the insurance. I got a buddy who learned the importance of having insurance after he took out both my bike and his and about killed us both and my insurance went after him for it all.
No long rant, just hope you keep your **** straight and legal from here on out.

| Re: Impounding my 929 Erion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok.... no one can let this guy off easy... if you guys tried to hammer me on the weaving thing when it was not my ticket, I was just defending the guy.
I am sorry.... no license and no insurance.... you had no right to be on that road. If you would have hit me with no insurance, thank goodness you did not hit anyone, I would have taken it out of your hide. |

| Re: Impounding my 929 Erion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the officer was doing his job and did not get you for anything other than what you were doing and yet you felt justified in going off on him/her because YOUR mistake was going to cost you $500. And I might point out that this was not a oh darn I forgot mistake, nor a I didn't know mistake. Seems you should learn your lesson AND you owe someone an apology.

| Re: Impounding my 929 Erion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My question here is, "What were you doing in order to get pulled over in the first place?" Normally police just don't pull people over. Unless of course you are in California, on a motorcycle, on the "Crest".
SO, out with the rest of the story. WHY, did he pull you over?
As for the no license and insurance? Ya got what you deserved. You know the rules, play or pay. |

| Re: Impounding my 929 Erion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In Australia, we have these harsh new laws that enable police to confiscate your bike for 3 months if you are caught doing more than 45kmh over the limit, wheelying, or doing anything "dangerous".
If, when you get your bike back you get caught again, they confiscate it for a longer period and - if you get caught a 3rd time - they take it forever.
Doesn't matter what it's worth - you get no compensation. Essentially, the cops steal it from you and auction it off. This begs the question: If you are still paying it off - do you have to finish paying it off? Apparently you do.
I'd hate to lose my bike for 3 months just for having the front wheel lift a few inches off the ground. This law is too open for police to abuse it. It's very worrying. With laws and rules getting harsher and harsher every year it's starting to become a bit hard to enjoy life anymore. |

You did something illegal, got caught for it, and have the balls to play Mr.Asshole to the cop for "catching" you. The only person you need to be mad at is yourself. If you're no bad ass than you should have received you ticket like a grown up and taken responsibility for your actions. Way to go tough guy . |
