Where to order parts in Canada?

Hey everyone.

If I need some Honda parts, and I know exactly what I'm looking for, where should I order the stuff from? I'm particularly looking for a place in Canada, or that will ship to Canada without charging an arm and a leg.

Is there an online-ordering parts place you can refer me to?

Thanks.

--- D

It is not the shipping to Canada that costs a lot. It is the duty.

Don't know anywhere else but the local dealer? You might get around 10% off if you talk right. Most places will give that much up.

I've bought a lot of stuff from online american retailers. If you can convince them to mark the package as a warranty return or a gift you will save the duty. Also make sure they ship it USPS, not FedEx or UPS.

Re: Where to order parts in Canada?

Yeah, I order stuff from the states all the time, it isn't a problem. Besides, all motorcycle parts are duty free. You only have to pay sales tax, although that can sometimes be creatively avoided.

I was hoping to find something online, as I am not conveniently located to a dealer, and besides, it would save me time to be able to order by mail and not have to actually go into a store.

No leads?

Re: Where to order parts in Canada?

I have ordered stuff from the product finder (www.product-finder.ns.ca) in nova scotia, you can mail them or call and they will look it up see if they can get it and get back to you pretty quick, shipping is cheap in canada and their prices are the best that I have found, customer service is great too

Hope that helps?

link fixed, sorry forgot a dot.

Indeed, there is a huge opportunity in Canada. I'll be doing something about that soon. In some small way.

Re: Where to order parts in Canada?

I second the product finder. i bought all of my parts from them for the 929 when it went down. Never have gone anywhere else in canada for a major part. I recommend this place to all canadians. Even to phobia who lives in the middle of nowhere ( aka alberta).

Not to pry, but are you referring to potentially setting up some kind of distribution business in Canada? It's a business idea of thought about a lot, because I know the demand is there...

It's a great idea. The closest thing I've found is Royal Distributing, in Barrie.
