Is this a good deal? RC-51, F4, 929 switcheroo

A friend is getting out of motorcycles. He is selling 2 of them with all extras included for $7500.

He has a 2000 F4 with 20k miles on it that needs a little work. I think it has a clogged main jet. Nothing major, a cylinder cuts out at high RPM. It is no longer street legal however and is outfitted with full carbon fiber fairings and a virtually unused Penske shock. Everything is stock. He has extra wheels for the F4 also. Some unused race tires. The bike has only seen the track 1 time. Oh, it has an aftermarket pipe too. Can't remember which one.

He has a 2000 RC-51 with 8K miles on it that is pristine. It has Ohlins shock that he just bought and slapped on. Forks are rebuilt for track use. He has some aftermarket slip ons and stock pipes as well. Ultra Lap XT lap timer, and a few other unmentionables.

He is also including all stands, extra misc. junk for them laying around.

My options since I don't have a ton of cash to burn:

1. Sell my 929 and maybe get 5K for it. It's perfect condition but has 15000 mi. Then sell the F4 for maybe 2 grand as a track bike? Sell the Penske shock and put stock one back on F4. Sell carbon fiber fairings if I could. Sell aftermarket RC pipes, extra wheels and pretty much all extras. Keep RC-51 as a street bike and a once or twice a year track bike to Laguna Seca with stock pipes. Drawback? Owning 2 V-twins instead of a variety of bikes. Benefits? Bike with less miles, more track capable, and holds it's value better over time. Come out ahead on money.

2. Go in on the purchase with a friend. Sell the F4 and all extras. Split remaining cost for RC and use it. Drawback? Sharing a bike. More out of pocket. Benefits? Riding an RC and keeping the 929.

3. Go in on purchase (or possibly not) and sell the RC and all extras. Keep F4 as a track bike (would have an I-4 track bike and V-twin track bike) and use cash to repair whatever is needed. Drawback? Not the greatest 600. Might have more wrong than just carb? Can't take the track bike to Laguna. Sharing or not sharing has money/time complications. 2 track devoted bikes might be sort of pointless. Benefits? Come out ahead in money. Still get an I-4 track bike that could be well set up with the extra money from RC sale.

What do you think?

Forgot one of the biggest drawbacks. If I permanently add a bike to my garage my wife will kill me so there is a benefit of pulling a switcheroo. If I went in with a friend the bike would have to stay at his house.

Why not buy both, sell the extras, put the bikes back to stock and then sell them both, probably come out $2kish on top

Can't put the F4 back to stock without a lot of purchases... lights, etc. Not worth it and not sure if it's clean title or not. He is the only owner and hit a deer with it but has since repaired it and it runs fine aside from the carb issue.

I'd have 2K extra but I also wouldn't have an RC-51 to ride.

I'd would have to guide you away from going in with someone on the bike. One of you will always get more seat time and when someone bins it at a track day how long is reasonable to get it back up and running? What happens when the bike doesn't get put back together in time for the next day?

More trouble than it's worth to take in a partner. It's always better to own outright.
